PinkChat Privacy Policy

Live video chat needs some data to work, and some more to stay safe. This page lists what we collect, why we collect it and what you can do about it.

Your messages to us and reportsTo answer you and keep the service safe

During a chat, your live video, audio or text travels between you and the person you are matched with. Assume anything you say or show can be seen, heard or saved by them.

1. The information we collect

  • Account and session details, such as a user ID, sign-in information and the options you choose.
  • Device and usage details, such as browser, device model, IP address, an approximate location derived from it, language, pages you view, buttons you press and how long you stay.
  • Purchase details. When you buy coins our payment providers handle your payment information. We receive a confirmation and a reference.
  • Messages you send us, and what is in them.
  • Reports you make about other users and reports others make about you.

2. Why we use it

  • To run PinkChat: matching, connecting calls and crediting coins.
  • To keep people safe: reviewing reports and enforcing the community guidelines and the terms of service.
  • To improve the service, for example by seeing which pages help and where people give up.
  • To reply to you and to meet legal duties.

3. Cookies, analytics and similar tools

Cookies and similar tools keep you signed in and remember your settings. We also run Google Analytics 4, which records things like which pages are opened, what gets clicked and where people stop. We read it to spot confusing pages. Your browser lets you limit cookies and Google offers an opt-out add-on; some features may misbehave if you do.

4. Who receives your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with providers who help us run PinkChat, such as hosting, real-time video infrastructure, analytics, payments and support tools, and they may use it only for that purpose. We may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety or to enforce our rules. If the business is sold or merged, your information may pass to the new owner under this policy.

5. Where your data goes

People use PinkChat all over the world, and our providers may handle data in countries other than yours. Where the law requires it, we put suitable safeguards around those transfers.

6. How long information is kept

We keep information for as long as we need it for the reasons above, to settle disputes and to meet legal requirements. Some records about reports may be kept longer so we can protect other users.

7. Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may be able to see, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to some uses. To make a request, including a request to delete your data, email support[at]pinkchat.cc (replace [at] with @) or use the contact page. We may need to confirm it is you before we act.

8. Who this service is for

PinkChat is meant for adults. We do not set out to collect information about anyone younger, and if we learn that a minor has an account, we remove it along with the data attached to it. Tell us if you suspect it.

9. Keeping your information secure

We take sensible technical and organisational steps to protect what we hold. Nothing is perfectly secure, so look after your own sign-in too, and use the safety tips whenever you talk to strangers.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.

Need something corrected or removed?

Send us a note and we will take it from there.
